I have lived in South West Florida for about 15 years now. In that time I have also done a fair bit of travel and met some great people. It never ceases to amaze me the questions I get asked and the misconceptions people have about Florida. People either assume certain things based on what they have heard or they have fallen into the rumor mill about Florida and believed everything they have heard. Much like a number of the 50 states here in the U.S.A. Florida is a huge state (don’t believe me, drive from Miami to the Georgia border sometime) with very different types of areas in each part of the state. So it is important for us to distinguish what is fact and what is fiction when it comes to Florida and it’s various areas. Once you book you vacation here it will be important to have the facts about the area you are heading to before getting there.

A day to get close and share time with that special someone….just likeyou do on vacation. Maybe you’re even planning a romantic getaway for Valentines weekend to some white sand beach on a tropical island. If not, go to the local landscaping store and get a couple of bags of sand to put on the garage floor, a space heater, a sun lamp and some lawn chairs. Bring out the palm trees from the living room (if you don’t have them now is a good excuse to get them) and put the Jimmy Buffett on in the background.
